About the role

• Senior Software Engineer II creating AI-driven tools for internal and external users at HubSpot. Engaging in backend development while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of new features, often initiated by engineers themselves
• Collaborating closely with CS reps to understand needs and iterate rapidly
• Building backend systems (Java required), while contributing across the stack when needed (React experience preferred)
• Partnering with data scientists to surface insights and build intelligence into workflows
• Embracing a “ship to learn” mindset — using experimentation and feedback to guide development
• Operating in a high-trust, high-autonomy environment where engineers are expected to take initiative
