About the role
- Account Manager managing client accounts and providing innovative insurance solutions. Collaborating with team members and negotiating with carriers to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire account service process
- Review applications, renewal requests to determine marketing strategy
- Market to carriers and negotiate rates and terms
- Prepare quotes and proposals
- Review policies, processes endorsements/certificates/MVRs/Loss Runs/ID cards
- Bind policies
- Assist with audits, as necessary
- Coordinate premium financing, as necessary
- Collaborate/assist the Producer with client meetings, strategy sessions
- May oversee and direct more junior-level team members
Requirements
- 4+ years of related commercial insurance experience within a brokerage environment
- HS diploma or GED
- Holds an insurance license in good standing
- Computer proficient with MSOS, Outlook, agency management systems (Epic preferred)
- Required “soft skills”: efficient time management, organization, customer service, high initiative, team-oriented and high attention to detail
