About the role

  • Assistant Director of Education and Training at Emory University developing and facilitating Title IX training programs. Ensuring compliance with Title IX laws and collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and facilitate training and educational programs for a comprehensive and integrated sexual misconduct prevention and response strategy.
  • Lead initiatives to educate and create curriculum on Title IX regulations, Emory policy, and Emory process customized to different university populations.
  • Support the office in complying with the Title IX law and raise awareness and increase understanding of Title IX regulations, Emory process, and procedures within the Emory community.
  • Provide training for the Department of Title IX staff and external support (advisors, hearing officers, appeal officers, Deputy Title IX Coordinators).
  • Assist in creating and maintaining institution-wide strategic partnerships.
  • Support the University's compliance efforts by contributing to the identification and/or design, development, delivery, refinement, and assessment of new and existing Title IX training,
  • Provide leadership, supervisory, and management training and other employee development opportunities for all levels of faculty and staff.
  • Conduct research and design new programs and initiatives, as needed.
  • Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of training and educational programs. Tracks training attendance and areas trained for reporting purposes and to develop training plans for various schools, departments.
  • Provide customized facilitation and/or intervention to individuals and departments, as needed, at the conclusion of complaint investigations.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations and assist Director/University Title IX Coordinator in updating Title IX policy, practice, and procedures.
  • Represent the Title IX Office at meetings, conferences, and other events.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Ethnic Cultural Studies or other related field
  • Three years of experience developing and/or implementing training programs or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A master's degree and experience managing and developing higher education Title IX training and education programs is preferred
  • This role requires residency in the state of GA.
  • Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, ability to work in a collaborative team environment,
  • Strong research, analytical and writing skills.
  • Experience or familiarity with Title IX processes and regulations is preferred.
