We are seeking a BIOS & Embedded Firmware Developer who is passionate about building foundational technologies that deliver amazing customer experiences.
In this role, you will create the firmware intelligence that powers advanced hardware capabilities, enabling seamless, intuitive interactions for users.
You’ll collaborate with engineers across hardware, silicon, and software to bring breakthrough features to life — features that anticipate user needs, adapt to their workflow, and elevate everyday computing through the power of AI.
This role is responsible for driving design, development, and debugging of notebook and desktop BIOS firmware, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
The role collaborates with hardware engineers to integrate software and firmware with hardware components, ensuring seamless communication and functionality.
The role works closely with software developers, hardware engineers, quality assurance, and product managers to deliver high-quality products.
Requirements
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, EE degrees (or equivalent).
Typically has 7+ years experience in UEFI or embedded firmware experience is required.
Strong background in C/C++, embedded development, and low‑level programming.
Practical experience with UEFI/BIOS, platform boot flows, or firmware bring‑up.
Understanding of PC platform architecture, including Intel/AMD/QCOM systems.
Knowledge of ACPI, secure boot technologies, and platform power management.
Strong debugging abilities across hardware and firmware boundaries.
Ability to interpret board schematics and silicon design documents.
A passion for creating solutions that directly improve customer experiences.
