About the role
- Engineer 3 developing engineering solutions for military mission capabilities at HII Mission Technologies. Collaborating with teams, managing analyses, and executing project requirements in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.
- Design and develop engineering solutions to meet project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct detailed analyses, simulations, and tests to validate design concepts and ensure system performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate systems and optimize processes.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and presentations.
- Identify and troubleshoot engineering challenges, proposing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
- experience in assessing structural, mechanical, and electrical systems for material condition on US Navy ships and barges
- experience in report writing and quad chart development is preferred
- experience performing shipchecks on US Navy ships and barges
- willingness to travel as required (approximately 25% or more travel time)
