Project Manager overseeing construction and redevelopment projects for a major client in the Czech Republic. Leading complex brownfield projects within manufacturing environments with strong engineering expertise.
Responsibilities
Coordination of all on-site activities regarding the modernization and construction of new buildings and infrastructure
Identify risks related to construction logistics, operational safety, and regulatory obligations; implement mitigation plans.
Translate business and technical requirements into actionable project plans.
Coordinate all phases of the project - from design and permitting through reconstruction and commissioning.
Manage relationships with general contractors, engineering firms, suppliers, and plant leadership.
Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
Facilitate regular status meetings and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure transparency throughout all stages.
Requirements
Strong construction project management background, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, or brownfield environments.
Degree in engineering, construction management, civil engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
Solid understanding of construction processes, contractor management, timelines, and cost controls.
Ability to engage with engineers and technical specialists at eye level while managing the big-picture delivery.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills- able to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
Willingness to work primarily on-site in the Czech Republic (Praha or surroundings considered).
Knowledge of Czech construction law or regulatory requirements is a plus.
Czech language skills are beneficial but not mandatory; effective communication and project leadership are more important.
Experience with documentation, permits, approvals, and technical reporting.
Previous involvement in large brownfield upgrade programs.
Experience managing construction within running plants or modernization of existing facilities.
