About the role
- Responsable d'exploitation Transport managing waste management operations and truck rentals for LAURE Group. Ensures service quality, operational profitability, and regulatory compliance in transport activities.
Responsibilities
- The Operations Manager plans, organizes and monitors transport services related to waste management activities (collection, transfer, recovery/valorization) and truck rental with drivers.
- Ensure service quality, operational profitability and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Plan and coordinate drivers' routes and assignments according to customer needs and the operational constraints of the business.
- Serve as the interface between drivers, customers and internal departments (workshop/maintenance, billing, sales).
- Optimize human and material resources to ensure the profitability and responsiveness of operations.
- Monitor the proper execution of services (collections, deliveries, rotations) and intervene in case of unexpected events.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, transport regulations (driving times, loads, documentation, etc.) and environmental standards.
- Check trip sheets, delivery notes and route reports.
- Contribute to monitoring operational performance indicators and follow up on profitability studies.
- Conduct annual and professional performance reviews for drivers.
- Perform site visits and assessments and attend protocol meetings at clients' requests.
Requirements
- Higher education degree (equivalent to Bac +2 to Bac +3) in Transport, Logistics or equivalent.
- Significant experience (minimum 2 to 5 years) as a transport operations manager, ideally in waste management or construction (BTP).
- Proficiency with IT tools (TMS, Excel, geolocation software, etc.).
- Knowledge of road transport and waste-related regulations.
- Ability to manage priorities, handle unexpected events and work as part of a team.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
