About the role

  • Sales Director leading commercial operations in the Greek market for Greenvolt Next. Oversee sales strategies and develop the sales team for distributed energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the commercial strategy for the DG / C&I / Solar / BSS segments in Greece.
  • Lead and develop the sales team: 3 Regional Sales Managers & Supervisors.
  • Drive business development for Solar, BSS, DF and Energy as a Service opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and energy market stakeholders.
  • Oversee market intelligence, trend analysis, and competitive benchmarking, transforming insights into commercial action plans. Utilize AI tools for:
  • commercial forecasting
  • sales & pipeline optimization
  • automated market analysis
  • creation of data driven proposals
  • Own the full commercial lifecycle (lead → pipeline → proposal → negotiation → closing).
  • Collaborate with technical, financial, and operational teams to design integrated energy solutions (Solar + BSS).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance.

Requirements

  • **Post‑graduate degree** in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, MBA).**A **degree in Electrical Engineering** will be considered a strong plus. **More than 5 years of professional experience** in the energy sector, ideally in C&I, Solar, DG, or BSS-related roles.
  • **Knowledge of energy storage systems (BESS/BSS)** will be considered a valuable asset.
  • **Effective communication and rapport‑building abilities**, with the capacity to engage confidently with C‑level stakeholders and technical teams.
  • **Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills**, with a proven ability to manage multiple commercial priorities simultaneously.
  • **Proven experience** as a Sales Manager, Sales Director, or Commercial Director within the **Renewable Energy** or **C&I Distributed Generation** market, with a strong track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets. **In‑depth understanding** of the **Greek DG Energy Market**, including commercial models, regulatory frameworks, industry stakeholders, and market best practices.
  • **Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills**, with the ability to engage credibly with senior‑level clients and partners.
  • **Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment** and to quickly adapt to changing market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive pressures.
  • **Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office**, especially **Excel** (financial modelling, commercial analysis) and **PowerPoint** (executive‑level presentations).
  • **Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM** and the broader **Microsoft ecosystem** (Power BI, Power Apps, Copilot AI features), including: **o sales forecasting & pipeline optimization**o customer segmentation and opportunity prioritization**o data‑driven insights and automated commercial reporting**o workflow automation and productivity enhancement using Microsoft AI tools
  • **Strong attention to detail**, ensuring accuracy in commercial proposals, pricing models, forecasts, and presentations.
  • **Team‑oriented mindset**, collaborating effectively across commercial, technical, and operational teams.
  • **Analytical and structured thinking**, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, financial insights, and market signals.
  • **Exceptional oral and written communication skills** in both **Greek and English**, ensuring clear communication with clients and senior stakeholders.
