Business Developer responsible for identifying public tenders and managing sales processes in Lisbon. The role involves outbound sales and collaboration with the commercial team.
Responsibilities
**Key responsibilities:**
Daily monitoring of public procurement platforms.
Identification, analysis, and qualification of new tenders.
Outbound contact with entities to:
Understand needs and gather context;
Clarify requirements related to tenders;
Support the commercial lead in identifying and qualifying opportunities.
End‑to‑end follow‑up of ongoing tenders (deadlines, clarifications, updates, submissions).
Direct support to the commercial team lead in preparing proposals.
Management and continuous updating of the tender pipeline, ensuring accurate reporting to the Commercial Department.
Requirements
Proven experience in public procurement (minimum 2 years).
Hands‑on experience in submitting and managing public tenders.
Experience in inside sales roles with outbound commercial activity.
Proficiency with electronic public procurement platforms.
Strong commercial mindset and excellent communication skills.
Highly organized, methodical, and detail‑oriented.
Strong sense of responsibility and ability to prevent operational failures.
Ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.
Autonomous, reliable, and proactive.
Knowledge of the Public Contracts Code.
Experience in technical or regulated sectors.
Experience using CRM systems and commercial prospecting tools.
