About the role

  • Finance & Back-Office Support for sustainable product company in Austria. Involves financial tasks, process development, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • You will actively support our team in Finance & Back Office and contribute to the smooth running of our processes.
  • You will take ownership of tasks, contribute your own ideas and ensure our daily operations are carried out efficiently, reliably and accurately.
  • Prepare accounting records for our external tax advisor: review and categorize incoming and outgoing payments; maintain and import receipts into our accounting and payment system; prepare and execute supplier payments and credit notes.
  • Assist in building an automated payments system (including dunning) to enable scaling.
  • Maintain and continuously update the internal finance wiki.
  • Support the sourcing and setup of financing options (e.g. factoring, re-factoring, alternative financing methods, investment).
  • Provide regular finance updates to management (including automation of reports, KPIs and analyses).
  • Prepare relevant documents for the tax advisor — provide and manage account statements (GLS, Novalnet, PayPal) — communicate with the tax advisor, including submitting missing documents and clarifying open questions.
  • Support management with other tax and legal matters as needed.

Requirements

  • Initial experience in finance, accounting or a commercial role is an advantage
  • Interest in international tax law (especially EU); basic understanding of payment flows, invoices and accounting processes
  • Enjoy working carefully, precisely, in a structured and reliable manner
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude
  • Confident use of digital tools; experience with accounting systems (sevDesk, LexOffice, etc.) is a plus
  • Affinity for new technologies and software solutions in the finance area
  • Good communication skills, especially when liaising with tax advisors and internal stakeholders
  • Discretion and a responsible approach to handling confidential financial data
  • Independent working style and good organizational skills
  • Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Interest in materials, innovation and sustainable products/services.
