About the role

  • Account Manager at Great Lakes Cheese overseeing client accounts and sales strategies. Leading business reviews, managing relationships, and coordinating pricing and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationship with set list of customer accounts that do not include Key Accounts.
  • Lead and maintain regular customer meetings and communication.
  • Coordinate with AR on payment, customer sponsorship and tradeshow requests.
  • Responsible for annual completion and regular updating of Account overview documentation.
  • Facilitate management of aging inventory with customers.
  • Execute on strategy for managing customer negotiations in bids and RFPs.
  • Project-manage internal cross-functional coordination in support of bids.
  • Responsible for holding quarterly business reviews with key customers.
  • Lead tactical execution for major distribution changes.
  • Conduct formal quarterly forecast reviews with customers.
  • Manage customer communication of overage adjustments and pricing setups.
  • Manage customer promotions and promotional requests.
  • Responsible for executing selling strategy for new product innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales or related field.
  • 4 years of direct working experience in a sales or customer facing position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present data in an organized manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to build a sales story using Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and exceptional attention to detail in administrative functions.
  • Time management and multitasking skills in order to handle multiple tasks and customer requests simultaneously.
  • Ability to operate independently to make sound decisions and recommend solutions based on functional expertise and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and plan all activities necessary for strategic customer visits that include senior level leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
