Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager, responsible for managing multiple projects.
• Coordination of construction projects to ensure adherence to specifications and timelines.
• Regular job site visits providing hands-on assistance as needed.
• Assembling shop drawings packages for submission.
• Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion.
• Select and coordinate work of subcontractors.
• Attend construction meetings with timely follow-up.
• Oversee performance of trade contractors and review engineering drawings.
• Ordering and ensuring delivery of materials to job sites.
• Proper administration of construction contracts and obtaining necessary permits.
• Review Foreman reports and ensure safety compliance.
• Provide technical support for Sales staff and assist in project scope estimation.
• Liaise with Finance for bill processing.
• Track and control construction schedule and costs.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years Project Management experience in the Construction Industry
• Post Secondary education in a related field, preference given to candidates with a C.E.T Designation.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong ability to read and understand blueprints
• Proven ability to liaise with clients and consultants in the management of site staff and subcontractors in multi-disciplinary teams
• Proficient computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office Suite and AutoCAD required.
• Flexible to travel
• Ability to work in a team environment along with strong management skills.
• A demonstrated ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, and effectively prioritizing multiple responsibilities.
• Detail oriented, effective problem solving with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Knowledge and understanding of French considered an asset.
