About the role

  • Advisor for sheep farming responsible for supporting farmers and enhancing ovine practices. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and lead various technical and economic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support a network of reference farms within the sheep sector
  • Organize and lead sheep performance monitoring (administrative and IT management, coordination of weigh-ins)
  • Provide technical and economic advisory services in sheep farming: support farmers in analyzing technical and economic results
  • Contribute to the implementation of studies and initiatives as part of the "Plan Ambition Éleveurs" (Ambition Farmers Plan)
  • Participate in studies and projects related to agrivoltaics in sheep farming

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) minimum; engineering background in agriculture preferred
  • Ideally have prior experience
  • Strong knowledge of sheep husbandry and production
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal communication and listening abilities, and dynamism
  • Rigour, a methodical approach, and a good ability to synthesize information
  • Proactive with the ability to propose improvements and basic accounting knowledge
  • Good analytical and writing skills
  • Able to work independently
