About the role

Responsibilities
- Identify and mitigate health and safety risks;
- Support managers and teams in implementing OHS best practices;
- Lead projects and initiatives to prevent incidents and continuously improve practices;
- Identify, assess, and quantify potential hazards in the plant;
- Conduct inspections, risk analyses, and internal audits;
- Participate in accident investigations and recommend corrective actions;
- Develop, implement, and monitor OHS policies, programs, and procedures;
- Develop and deliver training to promote a safety culture;
- Monitor legislative changes and ensure regulatory compliance;
- Provide proactive, supportive guidance to managers and employees.
Requirements
- Experienced (4 to 6 years in a similar role);
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations or a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS);
- Comfortable with project management and teamwork;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stress;
- Flexible, approachable, and motivated to sustainably develop the OHS culture;
- Knowledge of MRP software (e.g., EPICOR) is an asset.
