About the role

  • EHS Manager directing Environmental, Health and Safety functions at Givaudan, managing compliance with EHS regulations and supporting site management across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and support the management of all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) functions for the site
  • Manage and optimize the EHS organization to deliver added value to the company
  • Support and advise site management on all EHS matters
  • Develop and deploy an EHS vision aligned with company strategy for the site
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations
  • Responsible for all site EHS training for new and existing employees and contractors
  • Implement behavior‑based safety programs
  • Ensure Health and Safety programs are fully implemented
  • Ensure emergency planning is effective
  • Accurately complete and submit regulatory reports
  • Ensure KPI reporting is complete and initiate actions to meet agreed targets
  • Track site safety behavioral audits and incidents, analyze trends from audits, incidents, and near-miss reports, and report findings to the management team
  • Lead the employee safety committee to promote safety awareness and improve overall site safety
  • Manage all hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities
  • Manage all required documentation
  • Maintain positive relationships with relevant external stakeholders (authorities, communities, networks)
  • Serve as the primary contact for federal, state, and local EHS regulatory agencies
  • Serve as the main point of contact with other departments: Regulatory, IT, and the regional Management Team

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, EHS, or a related field
  • 10–15 years of industry experience, including prior experience at an EHS-focused plant or facility
  • Relevant national EHS qualifications/certifications
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Experience in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Control, Root Cause Analysis, Process Safety Management, and Auditing
