About the role
- Structural Designer providing technical support for engineering projects in various sectors. Engaging in design, analysis, and project coordination for structural systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical, organizational and communication skills for day-to-day support.
- Involved in the application of engineering fundamentals to design structural framing systems or components.
- Formulate design and/or analysis of structural framing systems and perform necessary calculations.
- Conduct field measuring and checking at construction site to verify existing conditions.
- Prepare construction documents and communicate with other disciplines to produce a well-coordinated set of construction documents.
- Coordinate with other disciplines for clash detection and load determination.
- Review shop-drawing submittals to assure design intent is met.
- Maintain project files containing project calculations, correspondence, appropriate reference material, and other items.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field required
- E.I.T preferred
- 3+ years of related experience in the structural engineering field
- Master's degree, research work and internships may count towards this experience
- Analysis: Risa, RAM, ETABS, and SAP2000 preferred
- Drafting: Bluebeam and Revit modeling preferred.
