About the role

  • Senior Project Manager at GE Power Conversion; overseeing strategic energy projects, fostering client relationships, and ensuring project alignment with specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large, high-visibility and potentially high-risk projects from order intake to project close-out, ensuring compliance with applicable contractual and legal requirements for the electric grid stabilizer markets.
  • This includes proactively finding innovative solutions to encountered problems and monitoring schedules and costs.
  • Act as the single point of contact for customers by building and maintaining strong professional relationships and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Take overall responsibility for project leadership and strategy, including planning, directing and controlling resources/processes in complex projects to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and safety and technical/engineering requirements.
  • Prepare, distribute and monitor the project budget(s) and ensure adherence to revenue recognition plans, billing schedules and margin at completion by monitoring financial aspects (costs, invoicing and payment, sales milestones).
  • Interact with internal multidisciplinary engineering and document management teams and support functions: health & safety, procurement, quality, to coordinate project development, implementation and control while maximizing collective performance.
  • Interact with suppliers and subcontractors to align project specifications and requirements.
  • Identify and anticipate project risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that safety procedures are consistently followed on site.
  • Communicate proactively with all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring full transparency throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in project management, engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Prior responsibility for projects or programs involving multiple companies and/or functions across the full project lifecycle, i.e., from development and design through manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning and acceptance testing.
  • Ability to apply advanced technical, engineering and quality assurance concepts to solve business and technical problems.
  • Experience collaborating with international teams and partners.
  • Fluent English required.
  • International mobility required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt quickly to change.
  • Results-oriented, with a strong drive to meet and exceed objectives.
