About the role

  • Key Account Manager in a technology company managing key accounts for Deutsche Bahn. Focus on developing long-term customer relationships and identifying new market potentials.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for taking over, managing and strategically developing an established key account portfolio
  • Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Identifying and developing new market and business opportunities
  • Planning and conducting customer visits, presentations and business meetings
  • Preparing proposals and leading the proposal process in a structured manner
  • Collaborating closely with Marketing, Project Management and internal specialist departments
  • Preparing monthly forecasts

Requirements

  • Degree or vocational training in business administration, sales or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in sales and key account management, ideally in the rail or public transport (ÖPNV) sector
  • Strong understanding of customer needs
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient user of MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics (CRM)
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally internationally
