About the role

• Senior Cloud Operations & Architect providing strategic leadership and hands-on support across ASP’s AWS clouds. Focus on cloud cost optimization and security architecture.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize AWS usage and spend across environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS environments for internal enterprise environment & customer-facing SaaS applications.
• Lead Incident, Request, Change, and Problem Management processes to ensure service reliability and compliance.
• Architect and execute AWS-based Disaster Recovery strategies, including automated failovers and fallbacks.
• Enforce IAM policies to ensure staff access is limited to required AWS resources only.
• Drive lifecycle management and eliminate legacy infrastructure and technical debt.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code and automated workflows; ensure logging and monitoring via CloudTrail and CloudWatch.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cloud operations experience.
• Strong decision-making capabilities, with a demonstrable ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate actions.
• Thorough, detail-oriented and quality-driven with superb communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant industry training and/or certification preferred.
• Able to deliver quality results in a high-energy/high-pressure environment.
• Ability to multi-task and handle demands of many projects, issues, and tasks.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Proven experience in cloud architecture and operations for SaaS platforms.
• Strong understanding of AWS security frameworks and least privilege access models.
• Ability to automate infrastructure and operational tasks using modern DevOps tools.
• Skilled in cost analysis and optimization across multi-account AWS environments.
• Experience facilitating DR drills and recovery testing.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally to enable secure and efficient cloud usage by other teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to support operational transparency and audit readiness.
