People Analytics Specialist responsible for designing metrics and analyzing trends at Focused Energy. Collaborating with People, Finance, and IT to enhance decision quality throughout the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Design and own core People metrics and KPIs across the full employee lifecycle
Analyze trends in hiring, attrition, engagement, performance, diversity, and workforce planning
Translate complex datasets into clear insights, recommendations, and decision-ready narratives
Support leadership with ad-hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and evidence-based guidance
Build and maintain scalable dashboards and recurring reports for People and leadership teams
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across HR systems and connected tools
Partner with IT and Finance on integrations, data flows, and reporting standards
Continuously improve analytics maturity, moving from descriptive to predictive insights over time
Enable People experiments by defining success metrics and evaluation frameworks
Measure the impact of leadership programs, performance cycles, and organizational changes
Support compensation, headcount, and workforce planning with robust data models
Challenge assumptions with data while staying grounded in human context
Requirements
5+ years of experience in People Analytics, HR Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar role
Strong understanding of HR systems architecture, data flows, integrations, and data modeling to ensure scalable, high-quality analytics foundations
Confidence working with HR systems (e.g. HRIS, ATS, performance or engagement tools)
Experience translating data into insights for non-technical stakeholders
Solid understanding of People processes and the employee lifecycle
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
Experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
Working knowledge of SQL or strong willingness to learn
Familiarity with data privacy, GDPR, and ethical data handling
Curious, structured, and impact-driven
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving requirements
Strong storytelling skills with a business-oriented perspective
High sense of ownership and accountability
Nice to Have: Experience in scaling organizations or fast-growth environments
Exposure to compensation analytics, workforce planning, or organizational design
Experience with experimentation frameworks or hypothesis-driven analytics
Background in statistics, psychology, economics, or data science
