About the role

  • People Analytics Specialist responsible for designing metrics and analyzing trends at Focused Energy. Collaborating with People, Finance, and IT to enhance decision quality throughout the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design and own core People metrics and KPIs across the full employee lifecycle
  • Analyze trends in hiring, attrition, engagement, performance, diversity, and workforce planning
  • Translate complex datasets into clear insights, recommendations, and decision-ready narratives
  • Support leadership with ad-hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and evidence-based guidance
  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards and recurring reports for People and leadership teams
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across HR systems and connected tools
  • Partner with IT and Finance on integrations, data flows, and reporting standards
  • Continuously improve analytics maturity, moving from descriptive to predictive insights over time
  • Enable People experiments by defining success metrics and evaluation frameworks
  • Measure the impact of leadership programs, performance cycles, and organizational changes
  • Support compensation, headcount, and workforce planning with robust data models
  • Challenge assumptions with data while staying grounded in human context

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in People Analytics, HR Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of HR systems architecture, data flows, integrations, and data modeling to ensure scalable, high-quality analytics foundations
  • Confidence working with HR systems (e.g. HRIS, ATS, performance or engagement tools)
  • Experience translating data into insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of People processes and the employee lifecycle
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of SQL or strong willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with data privacy, GDPR, and ethical data handling
  • Curious, structured, and impact-driven
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving requirements
  • Strong storytelling skills with a business-oriented perspective
  • High sense of ownership and accountability
  • Nice to Have: Experience in scaling organizations or fast-growth environments
  • Exposure to compensation analytics, workforce planning, or organizational design
  • Experience with experimentation frameworks or hypothesis-driven analytics
  • Background in statistics, psychology, economics, or data science
