About the role

  • Engineering Services Manager supporting customers in mining, power generation, and heavy industrial sectors. Managing field service and technical sales for hydraulic systems and turbine valves in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

  • Field & Workshop Service: Perform fault finding, overhaul, repair, and testing of hydraulic systems and turbine valve assemblies.
  • Support shutdowns, breakdown response, and planned maintenance activities.
  • Conduct on-site commissioning and system troubleshooting.
  • Interpret technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and OEM documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety, isolation, and permit requirements.
  • Manage service jobs from inspection through to final reporting.
  • Technical Sales & Business Development: Identify service, upgrade, and replacement opportunities within operating plants.
  • Develop engineered solutions aligned to operational and reliability needs.
  • Prepare technical quotations and scope-of-work documentation.
  • Build long-term partnerships with maintenance managers, reliability engineers, and plant supervisors.
  • Support revenue growth within mining, power, and heavy industrial accounts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mining, power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong background in hydraulic systems, turbine control valves, fluid power, or rotating equipment.
  • Experience working on critical plant equipment during shutdowns and outages.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
  • Understanding of industrial safety standards and site compliance requirements.
  • Ability to engage confidently with engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify additional service opportunities.
