About the role
- Application Specialist providing engineering support and technical sales for Bearings & Condition Monitoring at Motion. Duties include customer engagement, training, and project delivery, based in Truganina, Australia.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice, training, and problem-solving support across our range of Bearing and Condition Monitoring (CM) products
- Visit customer sites to assess applications and deliver services
- Assist in the implementation and delivery of condition monitoring projects and programs
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and implement improvement strategies that drive innovative, solutions-focused outcomes
- Manage and grow an existing customer base
- Engage new and existing customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products
- Achieve agreed sales revenue and gross profit targets for condition monitoring products and services
- Provide technical sales and product support across Power Transmission and Bearing solutions
- Recommend, launch, and implement new products
- Plan and support strategic marketing initiatives
- Represent Motion at trade shows, expos, and industry events
- Monitor competitor activity and market potential
- Provide detailed reports on customer needs, opportunities, and performance.
Requirements
- A Mechanical Engineering degree or relevant trade/technical background
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a sales aptitude
- Excellent product knowledge and customer management skills
- The ability to identify and meet customer requirements effectively
- Strong time management and strategic planning capabilities
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills and CRM experience.
- Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa to be eligible to apply for this position.
