About the role

  • System Analyst responsible for infrastructure components of Eppendorf's developer network. Administering CI systems and providing support and training for DevNet users.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and develop all infrastructure components of Eppendorf’s global developer network.
  • Act as system owner for central CI systems such as GitLab and Artifactory, as well as other DevNet infrastructure components.
  • Responsible for the administration and management of DevNet-related authentication systems such as LDAP.
  • Define and manage infrastructure components using an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach, primarily with Ansible.
  • Support and configure developer workstations, and provide support and training for all DevNet users.
  • Serve as the interface to central IT to ensure information flow and collaboration between teams.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and cybersecurity across the supported area.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist in application development or system integration, or a completed Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in applied or technical computer science.
  • At least three years of experience configuring and administering Unix/Linux-based server and PC systems, and in setting up and operating DevOps architectures.
  • Familiarity with provisioning and setup of systems using Ansible or Terraform.
  • Practical knowledge of DevOps and GitOps principles.
  • Knowledge of project management and agile methodologies.
  • Service-oriented with a results-driven, structured, and conceptual mindset.
  • Open, communicative, and proactive personality.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
