  • Finance Manager at fin-house supervising finance operations, transforming functions into value-add systems for startups. Collaborating with clients, managing teams, and leading finance innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processing of the day-to-day transactions, ensuring that they are a breeze - say no to manual processes!
  • Transform the finance function into a value-adding machine, implementing and developing scalable systems and processes.
  • Work closely with our clients, immersing yourself in their organisations and ultimately become an extension of their team.
  • Be at the forefront of innovation in the finance function and make an impact on every organisation you support. You’ll be adding value, not just producing numbers!
  • Gain extensive experience across a wide variety of industries and sectors, working in some of the most exciting startups and impact-driven organisations.
  • Develop your career in finance much more quickly here, and we will work with you on a purposeful career development plan, with ongoing mentoring.
  • Month-end: Overseeing month-end to ensure all necessary data is captured and processed accurately by our fin-operators.
  • Analysis: Producing insight that drives impact and supports decision-making across your portfolio. This will also include storytelling and messaging – so that the numbers, trends and analytics are brought to life.
  • Reporting: Managing the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process, with the latter being key. Your role is to really help each organisation remain agile and future-focused.
  • Networking: Building strong relationships both internally and externally across your portfolio so you are the trusted business partner for all things finance.
  • Mentoring: Training fin-operators across the wider fin-house team, assisting them with their learning and development.
  • Projects: Leading on change management projects – whether that is software implementation, reviewing processes or new commercial opportunities across your clients or fin-house.

  • You have impeccable time-management and organisation skills.
  • An accountancy qualification is desirable, but we’re willing to consider relevant alternative paths.
  • 4-5 years’ experience working in a finance-related role
  • Experience with Xero and/or QuickBooks is ideal
  • Proficient at Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Experience of working with a portfolio of clients is desirable
