About the role

  • FP&A Analyst supporting financial operations and reporting for Akur8, a fast-growing InsurTech. Engage with SaaS KPIs, internal audits, and ESG initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial dashboards with key SaaS KPIs (ARR, churn, CAC, etc.)
  • Develop performance variance analyses (vs. forecast, budget, and prior periods)
  • Collaborate with accounting to understand variances and with the FP&A lead to improve future forecasts
  • Drive consistency and accuracy in reporting
  • Map risks and maintain RACI matrices
  • Review procedure compliance
  • Conduct access rights reviews
  • Verify completeness of supplier invoice recording and monitor the payment process
  • Review compliance with intercompany agreements
  • Complete ad hoc financial and ESG reporting requests for investors, including detailed commentary
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing data and insights for investor decks
  • Track and analyze operational and departmental spend versus budget
  • Provide cost visibility to department heads and propose cost-saving opportunities
  • Participate in reviewing procurement decisions and spend commitments
  • Contribute to documentation and analysis related to the Crédit d’Impôt Recherche (CIR)
  • Coordinate with R&D, legal, and accounting to ensure eligibility and compliance
  • Maintain dashboards and tracking tools for ESG initiatives (e.g., carbon footprint, DEI, governance)
  • Support internal stakeholders in setting, tracking, and reporting ESG goals
  • Participate in cross-functional company projects, including ERP enhancements, new processes, or international expansion efforts
  • Support company and finance initiatives that will materialize as the company grows

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in audit or FP&A roles
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong financial analysis skills and advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
  • Strong interest in audit, particularly internal audit
  • Familiarity with BI and ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite, Looker, Power BI) is a plus
  • Good understanding of SaaS metrics and ESG frameworks
  • Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to a scale-up environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English; comfortable working in a multicultural environment
