About the role

  • Events Manager responsible for strategy and execution of all Farther events, from Discovery Days to industry conferences. Collaborating with teams to drive client engagement and brand visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end strategy and execution of Discovery Days across New York and Dallas, directing the Sales Coordinator remotely while maintaining strategic control of format, messaging, and experience
  • Develop new event formats including scaled-down "Discovery Days in a Box" for more frequent, flexible touchpoints
  • Lead Farther's presence at industry conferences, managing sponsorship activation, logistics, and on-site coordination
  • Stand up and manage a monthly webinar series and drive speaker placement at industry events and panels
  • Build and manage a client events program that supports advisor marketing and strengthens advisor engagement
  • Own all event logistics — venue sourcing, vendor management, contracts, catering, AV, registration, shipping, and on-site execution — delivering premium experiences on lean budgets
  • Build the event technology stack (Cvent or similar) and track event ROI including AUM attribution and prospect conversion
  • Own merch strategy and Farther store management
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Advisor Marketing, Sponsorships, and Leadership to ensure events support business goals and reflect Farther's brand

Requirements

  • 7+ years of event management experience
  • Proven experience owning both in-person and virtual events end-to-end (financial services or tech-specific preferred)
  • Finance, fintech, or financial services event experience — understanding of industry conferences, compliance considerations, and audience expectations is critical
  • Strong backbone and leadership presence — able to direct coordinators, push back on stakeholders, and maintain strategic control remotely
  • Hands-on experience with event management systems and tools (e.g., registration platforms, CRM integrations, virtual event platforms, and on-site check-in tools)
  • Strong vendor, venue, and contract management experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle many moving parts, priorities, and stakeholders at once
  • Calm, confident problem-solver who thrives under pressure
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Self-starter with a proactive, “go-getter” mindset who takes pride in execution.
