About the role
- Werkstudent in Fonds Governance supporting investment management processes at a leading investment firm. Collaborate on fund management and assist in operational implementations.
Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and execution unit in managing fund mandates
- Assist in implementing and monitoring operational processes, addressing fund-specific, administrative, and regulatory issues
- Tasks related to the digitalization of departmental processes
- Support for fund-related projects (e.g., fund launches, migrations or liquidations)
- Preparation, follow-up and review of basic contract and fund documents (e.g., agreements, contracts, process documentation)
- Support coordination with internal specialist departments and external partners (e.g., management companies, depositaries/custodians)
- Support on-site reviews and participate in DDQs related to outsourcing
- Contribute to board- and management-level projects to expand our fund offerings
- Assist with regulatory research and the preparation of information
- Create and maintain summaries, presentations and process descriptions
- General organizational and administrative support for the team
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Economics, Law or a comparable field
- Some practical experience in the finance or legal environment is helpful but not required
- Interest in investment funds, financial markets and regulatory matters
- Knowledge of legal forms and regulation is an advantage
- Careful, structured and reliable work approach
- Strong IT affinity; Power BI skills desirable
- Very good MS Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
- Very good German language skills; good English skills are an advantage
