About the role
- IT Asset Manager overseeing the lifecycle of hardware, software, and mobile assets at Ferguson. Responsible for procurement, management, compliance, and reporting of IT assets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the lifecycle of Ferguson’s hardware, software, and mobile assets.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and warranties.
- Coordinate with vendors to procure IT assets and manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and execute the disposal or recycling of obsolete IT assets.
- Generate reports on asset utilization, costs, and status.
- Manage a team of Analysts and oversee managed service agreements with vendor partners.
- Provide Rapid Response Teams with tools and knowledge for interactions with associates.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT asset management, procurement, or a related role.
- Proficiency in using asset management software and tools.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to liaise effectively with vendors, teams, and management.
- High level of organizational and project management skills.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of assets.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management related to IT assets.
