About the role
- Director overseeing commercial vehicle claims, improving efficiency and compliance at FCCI. Leading a team to ensure effective claims management and resolution in a corporate setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide direction and guidance to adjusters and leaders
- Monitor workloads, quality, and deadlines of team
- Ensure timely and effective handling of assigned claims
- Identify potential volume or workflow issues and implement changes
- Conduct claim quality file reviews and create improvement plans
- Investigate and resolve claimant, policyholder and agent inquiries and complaints
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years relevant commercial claims experience AND
- Minimum three years in a leadership role.
- Applicable Adjuster’s license.
- Advanced working knowledge of the laws based in torts, statutes, and contracts.
- Advanced working knowledge of Inter-company arbitration procedures.
- Advanced working knowledge of judicial and legal systems.
- Solid working knowledge of claims management techniques, processes and fiscal systems.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making.
- Ability to interpret and explain insurance policies and coverages.
- AIC, ACLS or ACLA designation or equivalent coursework or experience.
