About the role
- Logistics Manager leading and developing logistics personnel across multiple sites and projects in Germany. Ensuring operational conditions and managing costs in logistics.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and disciplinary leadership and development for logistics staff at company locations and on project sites
- Ensure the conditions and framework for smooth day-to-day logistics operations
- Initiate, lead and implement optimizations and projects in logistics across the various locations and on our project sites
- Develop and continuously improve logistics processes
- Support and drive change and lean initiatives for organizational development
- Implement and take responsibility for requirements from the quality management system and the regulatory environment
- Plan, execute and lead inventories across locations and at project sites
- Take responsibility for logistics costs, including reporting
- Manage transport with customers and suppliers, including consolidation of deliveries between locations and project sites
- Work closely and in a trusting manner with interface departments such as Purchasing and others
Requirements
- Completed degree with a focus on logistics or comparable technical qualification with relevant experience
- Strategic, team-oriented and proactive personality with a positive attitude and high flexibility
- Several years of professional experience in modern logistics environments
- Solid leadership experience in a logistics role within a manufacturing mid-sized industrial company (ideally in plant engineering)
- Experience in developing, optimizing and digitizing logistics structures and processes
- Extensive experience with common ERP systems and confident use of standard MS Office applications
- Willingness to travel
- Good written and spoken English
