Responsibilities
Support development and execution of the category strategy aligned to financial and brand goals.
Assist in building balanced assortments grounded in data, trend awareness, and fan insights.
Manage product setup, SKU rationalization, and lifecycle execution from buy through markdown.
Partner with Planning to monitor inventory flow, sales trends, and OTB performance.
Support communication and follow-up with vendor partners on buys, production timelines, and deliverables.
Assist in seasonal assortment reviews and go-to-market preparation.
Help maintain vendor matrices and ensure product data accuracy across systems.
Track weekly sales, margin, and inventory performance.
Prepare reporting and provide insights to support pricing and promotional decisions.
Identify risks and opportunities in-season and escalate with recommended actions.
Support markdown execution and inventory health initiatives.
Partner closely with Planning, Site Merchandising, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure flawless execution.
Support onboarding of Assistant Buyers or Coordinators as applicable.
Contribute to a culture of collaboration and shared accountability
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in Merchandising, Buying, or retail analytics.
Strong analytical capability with comfort working in Excel and reporting tools.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Passion for product, sports, and fan engagement.
Growth mindset with desire to develop into a full category owner.
