About the role

  • Lead S&OP and capacity planning for logistics tech company, ensuring alignment across departments. Focus on demand conversion, capacity adjustments, and optimizing forecasts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead S&OP / Integrated Planning: define calendar, rituals, inputs/outputs, governance and ensure alignment between Commercial/CSM, Operations, Finance and Product
  • Convert demand into capacity: translate forecasts into plans for headcount (HC), equipment, warehousing, transportation and network by DC/client/service
  • Design and evolve forecasting models (short, medium and long term), establishing data validation methods, assumptions and scenarios (base/optimistic/pessimistic)
  • Multi‑site planning: balance volumes across DCs, define operational limits, and develop allocation and contingency strategies
  • Capacity performance management vs. actuals: monitor adherence, identify structural deviations, address root causes and adjust assumptions
  • Plan peaks and ramp‑ups: Black Friday/high‑season strategies, capacity expansion, initiative prioritization and follow‑up
  • Backlog and productivity management: anticipate queue formation, define action triggers, and support operations with tactical plans
  • Drive structural improvements in the planning process (tools, dashboards, automations, master data)
  • Lead and develop the Planning team (analysts): set goals, routines, technical quality and career growth.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in Logistics Planning / S&OP / Capacity Planning in high‑volume operations (e‑commerce, fulfillment, 3PL or transportation)
  • Experience with multi‑DC / multi‑site operations, capacity management and network balancing
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets skills + scenario modeling (capacity, headcount, productivity, backlog, costs)
  • SQL and BI (Power BI / Looker / Metabase / Tableau or equivalent) for data extraction, analysis and storytelling
  • Strong command of operational KPIs: SLA / OTIF, productivity, utilization/occupancy, inventory turnover, backlog, turns, forecast accuracy
  • Ability to lead executive routines and influence stakeholders
  • Nice to have: Python / R for advanced analysis and forecasting
  • Knowledge of WMS / TMS / OMS and data integrations
  • Applied statistics / forecasting techniques (ARIMA, regression, basic ML)
  • Experience in scale‑up or fast‑growth environments.
