About the role
- Senior Full Stack Developer at Eshop Guide enhancing Shopify apps and overseeing technical architecture. Collaborating with team members and mentoring junior developers for continuous improvement of code quality.
Responsibilities
- You continue developing our existing Shopify apps, ensuring stability, performance and clean code
- You design new features and epics — thoughtful, scalable and with a focus on long-term maintainability
- You take technical ownership: plan architectures, identify risks early and make pragmatic decisions
- You build new Shopify apps — from concept through technical implementation to launch
- You work closely with our Product team: they define the "what", you define the "how"
- You support our junior developers through code reviews, technical sparring and clear communication
- You contribute your experience to continuously improve processes, tooling and code quality across the team
Requirements
- At least 3 years of production experience as a Full Stack Developer with Ruby on Rails & React
- Solid experience with Git, Postgres and automated testing (ideally RSpec)
- Ability to independently solve large, complex tasks — from refactoring to architectural decisions
- Proactive thinker who anticipates information needs and communicates proactively with the team
- Very good German (confident verbally, solid in writing)
- Experience with Shopify app development (nice-to-have)
- Experience with GraphQL APIs (nice-to-have)
