About the role
- Development Event Fellow assisting in event planning and coordination for Equality Florida. Engaging with community partners and supporting fundraising efforts for LGBTQ+ rights.
Responsibilities
- Assist in Event Planning and Coordination
- Assist the Events Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing Equality Florida's Gala events
- Support administrative tasks including volunteer coordination, seating assignments, and event logistics
- Provide on-site event support including set-up, tear-down, donation collection, and general assistance as needed
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, donors, and community partners
- Engage with event attendees and supporters to strengthen connections to Equality Florida's mission
- Support donor cultivation efforts specific to regional priorities
- Support fundraising initiatives and stewardship activities
Requirements
- Deep commitment to LGBTQ+ equality and understanding of issues facing the community in Florida
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Weekend and evening availability required for events and programs
- Access to reliable internet connection and computer with video capabilities
