About the role

  • Sales Manager for Power Water Solutions responsible for business development and channel management in Mexico. Lead a team to grow the Power and Water business in Public and Private sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Emerson's Installed Base of Ovation and relevant Technology in México.
  • Understand Power Water Solutions (PWS) Service Portfolio, Value Message. Strong ability to convey Control and Measurement Systems Reliability, availability, and performance value message to customers.
  • Sustain and Increase Customer Adoption of Support Services for all Emerson Power Water Solutions (PWS) Solutions and Services.
  • Plan Annual installed base (KOB3) Goals and Target Sites/Accounts timely.
  • Fully responsible for delivering the forecast of orders for the monthly forecast (POR) Purposes and BU planning.
  • Work with the Local Control Systems and Software (CSS) Director to assign Annual Budgets to Emerson and Representative Sales Forces.
  • Protect Power Water Solutions (PWS) Services, Hardware, and Parts Prices, avoiding Margin Erosion.
  • Work with the Regional/Local sales teams to understand customer Maintenance Budgets, Investment Drivers, and Pains.
  • Train and coach the regional/local and channel´s sales force to ensure everyone can explain/sell the value of Emerson/CSS/ PWS Services & Solutions
  • Act as the liaison between the SYSS Business Unit and the local/regional and channel’s sales force to ensure appropriate sales support is provided.
  • Work with the Regional Power Water Solutions (PWS) BDM in driving Growth Initiatives in his/her region.
  • Continuous Travel the Country/Region to support customers’ calls and SYSS/PWS Presentations and to close orders.
  • Continually follow up with the Regional Sales Force and establish Sales Review Cadence.
  • Leading Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Ensure a strong focus on the pursuit of green field (KOB1&2) opportunities.
  • Report to Sr. management on the execution of sales plans, status of Key Projects, Competitive outlook, and personnel performance.
  • Coordinate with the Control Systems and Software (CSS) Operations team to ensure full customer satisfaction, including active participation in S&OP.

Requirements

  • 12+ years or more experience in the sales area in the Power Generation (all sources) & Water Market with expertise in Power Generation Solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic, Systems, Chemical)
  • Good understanding of the Power Industry.
  • Fully Bilingual – English and Spanish
  • Up to 50% of travel will be required within México and occasionally to the USA region. (USA VISA required.)
  • Able to manage financial terms and models, concepts.
  • Business Acumen related to the Power and Process Industry.
  • Proficient in making sales presentations during customer calls or during industry events.
  • Able to deal at the Executive Level, Engagement with Customers in the Power Industry.
  • Understanding of Automation and Information Technologies Business Model, including Services.
  • Understand Condition Monitoring Technologies, Maintenance Strategies, and Predictive Maintenance implementation.
  • Understand the business impact of new technologies in the Power Market.
  • Understanding and able to relate Technologies and Services
  • Experience building complex proposals/contracting / Agreements for Service Solutions, including maintenance, reliability, and optimization services, performance contracting, and Automation As A Service.
  • Familiar with CRM and Business Intelligence technologies.
