About the role

  • Customer Service Representative ensuring positive customer experiences and accurate processing of orders. Providing timely support and working closely with teams for effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent and effective customer service across all channels (phone, email, etc.), covering order management, fulfilment, problem solving, and general support.
  • Provide, verify, and ensure the accuracy of all customer and order-related information to enable efficient and correct order entry.
  • Perform contract review and ensure strict application of price policies (SOCX) and ITC requirements, escalating any discrepancies to management.
  • Monitor the order book daily, proactively coordinating with planning, warehouse, and other departments to anticipate issues and meet customer commitments.
  • Proactively inform customers about potential delays, issues, or changes affecting their orders.
  • Check feasibility of customer requests, including lead times, required certificates, and export-related documentation.
  • Maintain a commercial mindset by identifying customer needs, generating leads for the sales team, and offering additional or alternative products when appropriate.
  • Ensure clear, focused communication with management, accurately always representing customer needs and situations.
  • Follow customer service procedures in line with the Quality Management System, DAUT policies, health and safety standards, and contribute to backup coverage for critical processes.
  • Handle customer complaints and issues promptly, escalate errors when identified, support team members as needed, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain strong knowledge of the Discrete Automation product portfolio.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German. Fluent in English
  • Computer skills and electronic business interfaces: outlook, e-mail, Microsoft Office etc
