About the role

  • Energy Manager overseeing energy management systems aligned with corporate environmental strategies. Developing energy efficiency measures in a rapidly growing care home provider in Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, operate and further develop the energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001, including documentation, audits and continuous improvement
  • Implement the group-wide environmental, energy and CO₂ strategy, including compliance with all legal requirements
  • Central control and quality assurance of energy data (e.g. DEEPKI: sites, meters, emission factors, reporting)
  • Develop and implement energy efficiency and decarbonization measures, including a 5-year CapEx roadmap
  • Perform economic and investment calculations (CAPEX, ROI, payback) for technical and organizational measures
  • Ensure regulatory requirements and reporting obligations (energy audits, funding programs, CSRD integration)
  • Collaborate with Facility Management and Procurement to optimize measures and energy procurement

Requirements

  • Degree in energy engineering, environmental engineering, sustainability or a comparable qualification
  • Solid technical knowledge in energy management, thermal engineering, energy simulation and monitoring
  • Experience with energy and sustainability platforms, ideally DEEPKI or comparable tools
  • 2–3 years' professional experience in energy management of real estate portfolios or in comparable roles (project management, planning, service providers)
  • Excellent data and analytical skills and confident use of Excel, Power BI and MS Office
  • Knowledge of relevant certifications and regulatory requirements, including CSRD and energy law compliance
  • Experience in planning and economic evaluation of energy efficiency measures (ROI, payback)
  • Structured, precise working style and strong communication skills
