About the role
- Cybersecurity Technical Deputy Lead ensuring compliance in cloud-based systems using AWS technologies. Working with teams to maintain audit readiness and implement security controls.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that cloud-based systems meet stringent SOC 1 SSAE 18 audit control objectives and compliance requirements
- Act as the single technical point of contact for implementing and validating security controls in an AWS environment
- Integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tools, such as Splunk, with cloud services
- Work closely with security, DevOps, and compliance teams
- Maintain an audit-ready posture through continuous monitoring
- Shape how the organization implements cloud security controls
- Work on cutting-edge AWS technologies in a regulated environment
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or security engineering
- 4+ years of experience leading enterprise architecture and designing security solution integrations, including SIEM and SOC solutions
- 3+ years of experience with AWS security engineering
- 3+ years of experience leading teams in the integration of cyber capabilities in a geographically separated enterprise environment
- Experience with Git, Infrastructure-as-Code tools, such as Terraform
- Experience with log management and SIEM tools, such as Splunk
- Experience scripting or programming using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Experience implementing and managing cloud security controls in a production environment
