Responsibilities
- Build and maintain eBay’s homepage backend engineering
- Translate requirements to software design and create clean code
- Own major functional areas and drive key architectural decisions

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship
- Lead engineering support and triage on-call responsibilities
- Improve engineering velocity through process improvements

Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with proficiency in multiple programming languages
- Deep mastery in Java and NodeJS
- Experience in proposing and influencing technical strategy & roadmap
- Experience designing and building scalable systems
- Experience leading delivery of complex software systems
- Familiarity with GraphQL and Typescript is a plus
- Familiarity with shift left approach is also a plus
