About the role

  • Onsite IT Support Technician ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of IT systems in Germany. Collaborating with users by providing hardware and software support and training.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of various IT systems.
  • Inspecting, prioritizing, and maintaining systems to the highest operational standards.
  • Providing effective solutions for software and hardware issues.
  • Responding to user inquiries and guiding users with clear, step-by-step how-to instructions.
  • Recording technical issues and resolutions in the Knowledge Management System and updating knowledge articles with current and relevant information.
  • Enabling end users by providing training and education.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Experience handling ServiceNow tickets.
  • Assisting with software deployment and resolving software-related issues (standard and non-standard).
  • Supporting Microsoft Windows and Apple operating systems as well as the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Providing how-to assistance for end-user assigned IT devices and software.
  • Supporting standard and non-standard hardware devices (peripherals such as monitors, label printers, etc.).
  • Basic hardware support for desktops and laptops: RAM upgrades, keyboard replacements, SSD/HDD replacements.
  • Smart Hands experience supporting various teams and devices including, but not limited to: MFPs, standalone and networked printers & scanners (including toner replacement), servers, and storage.
  • Providing support for meeting room equipment (audio and video), network cabling and port patching, Wi‑Fi networks, and replacement of routers, hubs and switches.
  • Document management tasks such as asset management, knowledge base maintenance, and site operations manuals.
  • Stock management for incoming and outgoing IT goods.
  • End-user training and education.
  • Willingness to work onsite at client locations.
