About the role

  • EHS Consultant providing environmental permitting and compliance support to Duke Energy's generating facilities. Collaborating with environmental partners and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides environmental permitting and compliance support to generating facilities and other company operations
  • Serves as an environmental subject matter expert and provides technical expertise
  • Conducts trend analyses, incident investigations for assigned function
  • Collaborates with environmental and business operations partners in permit applications and renewals
  • Maintains current knowledge on environmental laws and regulations
  • Supports evaluation of proposed and existing standards, regulations, and guidelines
  • Works with and under guidance of experienced team members

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years related work experience along with Bachelors degree in Science, Health and Safety, Engineering or other related field of study
  • In lieu of Bachelors degree(s) listed above long with 3 years related work experience, High School Diploma/GED AND 7 year(s) related work experience
  • Masters degree in Business or Other Related Degree or Masters degree in Science or Masters degree in Engineering or Masters degree in Health and Safety
  • In addition to desired degree, 3 years related work experience
  • Professional Engineer and/or Project Management Professional and/or CSP and/or QEP and/or CHMM and/or CIH
