About the role
- Sr. Director of Sustainability leading TTH Sustainability Strategy at dsm-firmenich. Driving sustainable transformation in the food industry while collaborating with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the TTH Sustainability Strategy and roadmap, aligning with Group Sustainability ambitions and TTH business priorities.
- Engage directly with key customers and industry partners, shaping sustainability strategies, supporting customer pitches, and responding to sustainability‑related requests.
- Drive sustainability‑led transformation across TTH, partnering closely with the TTH Leadership Team to embed sustainability into core processes and decision‑making.
- Collaborate with global functions and regions (e.g., manufacturing, sourcing, commercial) to implement sustainability commitments, enhancing full‑portfolio transparency through environmental, health, and social impact insights, supported by robust tools such as LCAs and value‑chain assessments.
- Deliver on Scope 1, 2, and 3 targets and unlock opportunities from downstream (“Scope 4”) impact.
- Lead and develop the TTH Sustainability team, overseeing resources, processes, capabilities, OPEX, and communication efforts to position TTH as a credible sustainable partner.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (e.g., Business, Engineering, Sustainability, Finance, or related fields), along with substantial experience in sustainability, food science, strategy, or similar industries.
- Proven experience in leading teams, driving change, and managing complex, cross‑regional sustainability or strategic programs and portfolios.
- Strong strategic and analytical mindset, able to assess impact from multiple angles and translate insights into clear business opportunities and actions.
- Deep understanding of the food & beverage industry and its core sustainability challenges, trends, frameworks, and customer expectations.
- Excellent senior stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence senior decision‑makers, build strong customer relationships, and leverage sustainability for commercial value.
- Commercially savvy, culturally aware, and highly energetic, demonstrating strong business acumen, results orientation, and passion for driving sustainable transformation.
