About the role

  • Director of Learning & Development overseeing training programs at Municipal Credit Union. Responsible for strategy, compliance training, and employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop training strategies to proactively meet the needs of all business partners.
  • Ensure all training aligns with organizational strategy.
  • Develop and manage the annual learning curriculum and budget.
  • Oversee all training and instructional methods.
  • Direct the development of courses and training aids.
  • Partner with external vendors to coordinate training.
  • Oversee the design, development, scheduling, delivery, and evaluation of training programs.
  • Implement new training programs and assess training techniques.
  • Liaise with department heads and senior management.
  • Lead culture initiatives to support wellness and wellbeing of all employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required
  • Minimum of seven years of Training and Development experience in retail banking preferred.
  • Certifications in Training and Development preferred.
  • Strong communicator, advisor, and negotiator.
  • Ability to think strategically to provide training solutions.
  • Ability to manage projects and autonomously drive work
