Responsibilities
- Supports strategic procurement in all purchasing-related tasks for new products and product changes
- Works closely with development teams, purchasing and suppliers
- Requests and compares quotes and prepares well-founded supplier selection decisions
- Places orders for prototypes, tools and pre-series requirements and resolves technical, commercial or logistical discrepancies
- Supports the series launch of new products
- Participates in procurement rounds
- Implements technical and logistical changes at suppliers as part of change management
- Supports our Advanced and Lifecycle Procurement Engineers on supplier-related matters
Requirements
- Completed relevant vocational training
- Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally within a manufacturing company
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP/R3
- Basic commercial and technical understanding
- Good command of English
- Knowledge of ARAS or a comparable document management system
- Experience working with cross-functional project teams
