About the role

  • Junior Tax Lawyer providing consultative services to clients at an expanding law firm in São Paulo. Collaborating on legal reports, petitions, and tax-related consultations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultative client services, preparing periodic, results-oriented reports
  • Manage procedural deadlines, oversee task management, and monitor official publications and filings
  • Draft petitions of varying complexity in administrative and judicial proceedings
  • Produce articles, legal opinions, and tax consultations
  • Perform surveys and analysis of tax debts, issue tax clearance certificates (CNDs), and assess statute of limitations, decadence, and participation in tax settlement programs (PGFN and state-level schemes)
  • Support analysis of tax regimes, conduct registration reviews, and identify tax opportunities
  • Report progress of activities to leadership and collaborate with team workflows
  • Use legal systems and platforms such as e-CAC, Regularize, PJe, e-SAJ, and e-Proc

Requirements

  • Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
  • Postgraduate degree in Tax Law preferred (completed or in progress)
  • Previous experience in law firms
  • Knowledge of tax legislation (National Tax Code - CTN, Federal Constitution - CF, and federal and state tax laws)
  • Strong legal drafting skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal systems (e-CAC, e-Proc, Regularize, PJe, e-SAJ)
