Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements with partners and vendors to protect the company's interests and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
Assess potential risks and provide strategic legal solutions to minimize exposure on creative concepts, marketing materials and partnership structures.
Partner directly with marketing, media buying, comms and business development, to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal guidance that supports business goals.
Ensure business practices align with corporate policies, particularly in vendor relationships, data privacy, and financial operations.
Develop and maintain legal resources - including templates, playbooks, and guidance materials - to help business teams navigate common legal considerations.
Requirements
You have a law degree from an accredited institution and the eligibility to practice law in California, either through admission or qualifying for in-house practice.
You have at least four years of relevant legal experience, ideally combining training at a top law firm with experience supporting in-house business teams.
You are curious, driven, and biased for action – balanced with a mature understanding of when to run independently versus collaborating with senior leaders.
You have experience with marketing and technology law, consumer protection, partnerships, and drafting and negotiating related contracts.
You have a strong understanding of privacy laws, intellectual property, digital and social media, and influencer endorsement regulations within the consumer internet sector.
You are known for delivering clear, practical, and creative legal advice while balancing legal risk with business objectives.
You demonstrate adaptability and a strong client-service mindset, in fast-moving environments where priorities may shift - approaching requests from stakeholders with professionalism, responsiveness, and a solutions-oriented perspective.
