About the role
- Group Accountant responsible for financial reporting and collaboration within Deutsche Börse Group. Managing accounting processes and improving financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Independent preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Handling of fundamental accounting issues under German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
- Primary contact for audits by external auditors and for Internal Audit
- Key-account role managing personnel costs for an Executive Board area within the Group
- Support in preparing budget planning and regular forecasts
- Preparation of variance analyses for regular and ad-hoc reporting
- Continuous improvement and automation of process workflows
- Participation in projects (e.g., automations in the S/4HANA or SuccessFactors environment) and collaboration with various international locations
Requirements
- Completed qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant) or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Controlling
- At least 2–3 years of professional experience in Accounting / Controlling
- Experience applying relevant accounting standards under German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, particularly IAS 19
- Experience in SAP ERP environments, specifically S/4HANA and SuccessFactors
- Excellent Excel skills are a must
