About the role

• Country Manager for Spain focusing on the launch of pet insurance operations and managing local teams. Required experience in marketing and project management with a strong connection to Spanish market.

Responsibilities

• Organization, steering and implementation of key activities for a successful launch of the pet vertical in Spain
• Management of all operations within the Spanish market. This involves taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash and quality targets.
• Management and development of local teams consisting of multiple operational roles such as marketing, sales, customer service and claims management
• Constant analysis of the market and adaptation of business strategies according to customer or market needs
• Intermediary between central core services, business entities and capabilities and local market and customer requirements for the pet vertical
• External stakeholder management with key stakeholders within Zurich Germany & Group
• Acting as a spokesperson for the Spanish market
• Strong connector and leader
• Fluent in Spanish and English, German is a plus

Requirements

• Min. 8 years of work experience
• Experience in fast paced environments (e.g. startup) and/or and project management (e.g. consulting)
• Strong track record in d2c (performance) marketing domain and go-to-market strategy and execution
• Strong track record in geographical expansion ideally in d2c businesses
• Experience working with or in Spanish businesses and in-depth knowledge of Spanish culture
• Strong track record in building and leading bigger teams and managing multiple-stakeholder projects
• Nice-to-Have
• Ideal candidate has developed substantial insurance industry expertise in previous position (e.g. consulting mandates or project manager in insurance/insurtech/or similar)
• Ideally proficient knowledge of the Spanish insurance market
