About the role

  • Payroll & AP Accountant managing payroll and accounts payable functions at Delta-Q Technologies in Vancouver. Overseeing payroll processing and vendor invoice management in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for payroll including verifying and processing payroll for salaried employees globally, including computing deductions, calculating special adjustments, filing, reconciling and reporting according to applicable legislation.
  • Manage ADP Workforce Now employee payroll onboarding, offboarding, reports, time and attendance tracking, vacation entitlements and accruals.
  • Manage employee RRSP contribution and general benefit processing of other taxable benefits.
  • Other responsibilities as required.
  • Process vendor invoices manually and using AP software: verify approvals, code to the correct GL/accounts, and match to PO/receiving when applicable.
  • Execute payment runs (ACH/EFT/wire/cheque) while maintaining documentation and internal controls.
  • Process employee expense reports and support corporate card reconciliations per policy.
  • Perform reconciliations against Vendor Statements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies and avoid payment delays.
  • Assist with general office ordering and other administrative tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and automation (billing workflows, collections cadence, AP approvals, recordkeeping).

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in payroll, AP, or a combined role (technology/product company a plus).
  • Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, subledgers, reconciliations).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of a full-cycle payroll. Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Experience with an accounting/ERP system (e.g., Sage 100, Yooz, or similar).
  • Basic Excel and Word skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a supportive, service-minded approach with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through.
