Senior Backend Developer at Deliverect developing and maintaining core services for the platform. Enhance order management and client integrations for restaurants in a fast-paced tech environment.

Responsibilities

Design and Develop Core Services: Design, develop, and maintain backend services focused on our core order management and restaurant integration functionalities. You will collaborate with other developers to ensure seamless integration across our ecosystem.
Ensure Quality and Stability: Implement and maintain robust testing strategies, including unit and integration tests, to guarantee the quality and stability of our backend services. You will participate in code reviews, providing and receiving feedback to uphold our coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including API developers and front-end engineers, to ensure smooth communication between different parts of the platform. You will also bring new ideas to improve our architecture, coding practices, and processes, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Manage Deployments and Security: Participate in daily stand-ups and agile ceremonies to manage and prioritise tasks effectively. You will also adhere to secure coding practices to safeguard sensitive data and assist with the deployment and monitoring of our services

5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, preferably in a SaaS environment.
Experience with a primary backend programming language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java) and with designing and developing APIs and web services.
Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration.
Solid understanding of software design principles (e.g., SOLID principles) and experience writing unit and integration tests.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to new ideas and innovative solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of microservices or event-driven architecture concepts
